Quetzal at Nest - Both male and female quetzals participate in the care of their offspring. The birds take their turns alternately guarding the nest and bringing food from the forest. This male had just arrived at the nest hole with a small fruit in its beak. After checking there were no potential predators watching, it entered the hole and fed its chicks. Broods are normally of two young.
