Common Bamboo - The common bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world; it can grow vertically several inches per day under ideal conditions. Bambusa vulgaris can be found growing naturally in some of Costa Rica’s coastal national parks; Manuel Antonio has several superb examples with stems well over 15 meters tall.
