Laguna Lodge
Tortuguero
The most peaceful place in the rainforest . . .

Laguna Lodge is a rain forest ecotourism lodge, a leader among this tropical country’s hotels and resorts with an extra touch in style, comfort and personalized service.

It lies along Costa Rica’s northern Caribbean Zone, an exclusive location on a narrow strip of land between the sea on one side and the Tortuguero-Lagoon on the other.

This Region is the most important nesting site in the entire Western half of the Caribbean for the green sea turtle. The season starts around mid July and ends by October and you could be able to take one of our night walks to search for green sea turtles.

Laguna Lodge offers 80 rooms divided in blocks of 4 or 6 rooms furnished with all the basic elements for a very comfortable stay. Private bathroom, hot water, ceiling fan, reading lamps, wooden benches outside your room to admire the gardens.

Our rustic family style restaurant and the excellence flavor of it's food has been very highly praised and accepted by our guests. The restaurant is ample and is one of the most prestigious in the region. Try our fixed rate all-you-can-eat dinner!!

In addition we offer a large bar over the lagoon, huts with hammocks. And The Lodge also has access to the various, smaller affluent within the national park, where besides observing the flora and fauna, you can experience the feeling of being in a rainforest among 140 - feet - high trees that reveal all their magnificence along the canals.

Laguna Lodge offers a 400 meter swimming pool, with hydro massage waterfall. Next to this is the swimming pool bar, which is decorated with exotic hardwoods.

We have a fleet of nine boats, in order to provide safe transfers and to enjoy the tours to adjacent areas and within the Tortuguero National Park which is one of Costa Rica's most important tourist attractions. In this setting one can feel the mystical power of the primary rainforest, while navigating along the causeways, within a jungle with vegetation that towers over more than 200 feet in height, populated with monkeys, crocodiles, toucans...

This small and cozy lodge, especially designed for the complete enjoyment of the natural marvels of the Tortuguero National Park, is located on a narrow strip of land between the Caribbean sea and the Tortuguero Lagoon. It offers direct access to the beach known as the most important nesting site for the green sea turtle throughout the entire Western Hemisphere (July through October). Other species of sea turtles can also be seen.
