This adventure starts driving south of Quepos on our a/c minibus. It takes 1 ½ hours through African palm plantations, teak reforestation projects and incredible landscapes to the river put-in.
After a safety briefing we start maneuvering rapids like “Boca Diablo” and “Washing Machine”. Before the end we hit “Screaming Child” rapid and then the river tames down until we meet with our mini bus. A five minute drive will take you to
Silencio Lodge where a hot Costa Rican meal will be served on your table. After lunch a 50 minute drive will take us back to Quepos. The Savegre River Valley is currently in danger of being dammed.
