Just an e-mail to say that the Costa Rica Explorer Trip I have just returned from was unbelievable. Everyday there was something new and stunning to see whether it be the Poas Crater; Hummingbirds at Monteverde; Arenal Volcano or the turtle hatchlings at Tortuguero. Our group was small and I think this worked very well though we were blessed with good weather which helped. I would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to the San Jose office for all their help and support as Costa Rica Expeditions proved to be a reliable, professional company with a friendly family atmosphere. Special thanks to Maurice who was our driver and guide for Poas, Monteverde and Arenal. He not only showed us the flora and fauna but also gave an insight into the culture and people of Costa Rica and always seemed to pick the best places to eat. He joined in with the group at dinner and the hot springs and became a member of our little band. I would also appreciate it if you could pass on my thanks to Fernando Estrada at Tortuguero who took over from Maurice as our guide and his relaxed manner and in-depth knowledge of the area and the people added to my experiences. In particular he took time out to show us the beach and without him we would not have found and saved the 6 turtle hatchlings which were stuck in their nest.
