Day 1: ARRIVE - Arrive San Jose International Airport. A private van will transport you to one of our favorite hotels in San Jose, Hotel Grano de Oro. Depending on what time your flight arrives you may have time to look around the city. It is a short taxi ride to the Cultural Plaza, National Theater and Gold Museum among other attractions.
Day 2: TRAVEL TO CORCOVADO - This morning your private van will pick you up and take you to the Pavas Airport for your flight to Palmar Sur. There you will be met and taken to Sierpe. From there you will travel by boat down the Sierpe River through the largest Mangrove Forest in Central America. You continue down the Pacific Coast to Casa Corcovado.
Day 3 - 4: OSA PENNINSULA - Casa Corcovado has a secluded beach, swimming pool and hiking trails. This package also includes a guided hiking tour of Corcovado National Park (According to National Geographic, "The most biodiverse spot on earth") and a tour to Cano Island where you can snorkel (equipment provided). One tour is one day and the other is the second day in either order.
Day 5: TRAVEL TO MANUEL ANTONIO - This morning after breakfast you will be taken back to Palmar Sur for your short flight to Quepos. You will stay at the Hotel Costa Verde where their slogan is "still more monkeys than people". The hotel is very near to Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica's most popular park.
Day 6 - 8: MANUEL ANTONIO - You can just relax and enjoy the swimming pool and nearby beach or take some of the day tours in the area. We thought it best to let you select the day tours that interest you. While you can explore the national park on your own, you will see more if you take a guided tour. Also white water rafting trips are popular and the area has one of the best canopy (zip line) tours, Canopy Safari.
Day 9: SAN JOSE - Today you take a 25 minute flight back to San Jose. If you have an afternoon flight home, we can take you directly to the international airport (It's best to check in 3 hours in advance). For the many people that have morning flights, a private van will take you to the Trapp Family Country Inn for your last night in Costa Rica.
Day 10: DEPARTURE - Hotel shuttle to the International Airport to check in 3 hours before your scheduled flight home.
