Biking TourBiking Tour - With a moderate ranking, we offer you a mountain bike tour in one of the best-suited area of Costa Rica: the region of Arenal Volcano with its lush vegetation and excellent views. Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and then proceed to gather the rest of the group in order to initiate this lifetime adventure.

We will board our tour van that will take you to Lake Arenal surroundings with its impressive views. Here we will start our bike tour by riding across a country road called “The Old Trail” towards Arenal Volcano National Park and El Castillo area. On this country road, during our expedition you will be allowed plenty of time to observe the magnificent views of Arenal Volcano. While crossing the tropical rain forest, we will let you explore the sights and enjoy the great variety of flora and fauna found here and be able to hear the sounds of nature around you. At certain point, you will do a river crossing where you might want to take a dip into the water and then continue onto the road around Lake Arenal as we take the regional paved road leading back towards La Fortuna.

Horseback to Arenal VolcanoHorseback to Arenal Volcano - Stunning views to Arenal Volcano, as we come closer to the volcano, we ride through rivers and tropical rain forest, and enjoying the magnificent views.
After picking you up at your hotel, we will drive you to a local horse stable located 2 miles from Arenal Volcano where our tour guide and horses will be waiting for you to take you into the horseback riding journey towards the volcano. You might hear the rumbling and see the lava flows (occasionally the crater) streaming down the sides. After a relaxing 1 hour horseback ride, and while surrounding the volcano, you will visit two natural lakes, cross rivers, climb some rolling hills you will arrive at an observation look out point, only 500 meters away from the new lava flows.

Hike Arenal VolcanoHike Arenal Volcano - Arenal Volcano Tour Arenal National Park, Lava Fields, Lake Arenal & Tabacón Hot Springs - There is no complete trip to Arenal without taking our Volcano Hike!. The tour begins with a 15 minute-trip to the far west side of Arenal Volcano, at your arrival our guide will explain you everything about the Volcanoes formation, eruption and contributions to Fortuna is model development.

This is the best way to look at the volcano lava flowing from a safe point and the best panoramic view of the volcano!. Then you will submerge in a primary Tropical rain forest, where you will spend about 1½ hour exploring the Silencio Trail, which is located in a private primary forest, facing the majestic Arenal Volcano.

Our certified bilingual naturalist guide will point-out indigenous rain forest plants and tell you about their medicinal properties. At dark, after visiting the trail, we will continue to the observation point, which offers the closest and most direct lava flow vista. Relax; enjoy a drink and listen to the incredible sounds of the volcano. If the cloud cover is high enough, expect to see a dazzling. Listen to a variety of frogs, toucans, and insects and watch thousands of fireflies.

Caņo Negro Wildlife Refuge Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge by Boat (Rio Frio Section) - The tour begins with a 90 minute- drive in our air-conditioned bus through some of Costa Rica´s richest farmland. Your certified bilingual naturalist guide will point out some of Costa Rica´s agricultural bounty, including orange groves, passion fruit, papaya, pineapple, yucca, rice, corn, bananas, plantain, sugar cane and ornamental plants.

You will board a comfortable covered motor boat on the Rio Frio and here our tour really starts. All seats offer excellent viewing. This is the most popular way to get to Monteverde. It is strictly a one-way transfer to leave La Fortuna on the way to the beaches. There are three ways to get there:
1.) Public bus and takes 8 hours with several changes
2.) Rental car and takes about 5 hours
3.) Taxi/Boat/Taxi and only takes 4 hours!

PLUS you get an amazing boat ride across Arenal Lake with a view of the volcano, a wonderful ride through rainforest and pastures, as well as spectacular views that would not be possible on the main road. You arrive by 11:00 gaining an extra day of vacation by not spending all day getting there. This allows for one less night in Monteverde, and more time on the beach!.

Fortuna WaterfallHorseback to Fortuna Waterfall - After picking you up at your hotel, we will take you towards Fortuna downtown, and drive you to Mundo Aventura a Private Farm, where a local guide and horses will be waiting for you to take you into a horseback riding journey towards the Waterfalls. While riding along the pastureland, tropical rain forest, and rolling hills, you might be able to see the eastern flank of the panoramic views of the Northern Plains.

After a relaxing 1 hour horseback ride, you will arrive at the upper part of the falls, from here you will contemplate the 230 foot waterfalls. Then, we will begin our hike down onto a beautiful trail a hanging bridge, with handrails through a wonderful rain forest until we reach the cascading pool. Here you might consider going swimming into these cold waters or rest on the several rock outcroppings found along the river banks.

Whitewater RaftingVenado Caves - We start with a 45 minute drive to the private farm where the caves are located. Upon arrival you will be given a flashlight & helmet, and fitted for rubber boots (size 11 or larger must wear their own shoes). Our expert bilingual naturalist guide will start with a brief history of the caves. A short hike later and you are standing in amazement at the river flowing from the cave entrance. There are no lights or walkways, so you will feel as if you are the first person to discover them. Turn on your flashlight, jump into the river, and watch out for those spiders on the walls! There is no turning back now.

It’s a little difficult to walk up the river, but that’s just part of the adventure. Be prepared to squeeze through small holes, crawl through tight passages, climb small rock formations, crawl on your stomach with only your head above water in a narrow tunnel as fish swim by, or walk up small waterfalls. Feel the air move around your face as of bats fly just above your head. Notice how they have carved their nests out of solid rock.
Enjoy the numerous stalactites, stalagmites, coral, and chimneys as you journey back in time. The "Papaya" formation is spectacular. This is an experience you will never forget! Recommended only for GOOD fitness levels.

Arenal Hanging BridgesArenal Hanging Bridges - You can go into the natural paradise along walking trail of three kilometers passing 15 bridges, six of them are hanging bridges with an spectacular design as a secure – enjoyable adventure to see the forest from the ground (like a Jaguar) from the middle (like as Monkey) and from the treetops (like an Eagle)...

One of our hanging bridges is called The Waterfall Bridge and is over 60 meters high off the ground. Another one is called The Tyra Bridge and is 98 meters long, just to give you an idea.

In this heaven of nature live over 250 species of birds, including the White Hawk, Great Curassow, Rufous Motmot, Rufous-tailed Jacamar, Black-throated Trogon, reptiles like the: Fer-de-lance Snake, Boa Constrictor, Basilisks Lizard, Glass Frog, Poison Dart Frog… and amazing mammals like: Howler Monkeys, Spider Monkeys, Tyras, Coatimundis, Three-toed Sloths, White-collared Peccary... Our expert bilingual naturalist guides will find a wide variety of species for birders. Birds are most active early in the morning and in the late afternoon as the day cools into evening.

You are most likely to see toucans, parrots, oropendolas, colorful tanagers and parakeets. For the more experienced birdwatcher, we can focus on seeing diferent species of flycatchers, warblers, wrens, antbirds, woodpeckers and other less commonly seen species.

Sarapiqui Whitewater RaftingSarapiquí Whitewater Rafting - Our journey starts by picking you up at your hotel at around 7:30 a.m., followed by a 1.5 hour ride to Sarapiqui River from La Fortuna. Here you will start you day adventure in one of the country´s most spectacular rivers, flowing past virgin rainforest and winding through magnificent scenery.

Sky Tram
The Sky Tram was specially designed and built by Doppelmayr (Austria) An aerial tram offered visitors a stunning and incomparable view of the Lake and Volcano Arenal. The tours starts with a 1 kilometer long on the Sky Tram on an ascent to an observation point. At times you will be over 40 meters above the treetops. When the tram arrives at the observation point, the far-reaching rain forest, the peaceful lake, and the majestic volcano Arenal. The cable cars are accessible for persons with disabilities. After enjoying the astounding scenery, you can begin your descent in the cable car.

Sky Trek
Sky Trek starts with a tour in the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal reserve, then begins a tour of adventure full of adrenaline above the treetops. This is a tour through a system of zipline cables in the cloud forest canopy, it allows you to observe the rain forest and its landscape from many different views as the panoramic view of the Arenal lake and volcano while offering you, total security of its modern technology. Together, the zipline's complete distance stretches almost 3 kilometers. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. We have 11 cables with lenghts between 120 feet up to 2310 feet and 60 feet height up to 480 feet.

Furthermore, there are two observation towers above the treetops from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of San Carlos, Puntarenas, and Guanacaste areas: the North and the Gulf of Nicoya. All of our facilities were built and are supervised under strict safety measures. All of the platform anchors are concrete and supported by iron beams. The zipline cables are 5/8'' steel and support 17 tons, also we use prestigious Petzl brand harnesses; they are comfortable and adjustable at the waist and legs.

Canopy TourCanopy Tour - Journey: Located at 2 kms from the center of the town La Fortuna, we will start our exciting adventure with a horse-back ride of about 40 minutes through a farming and pasture area within the farm La Orquidea, then continue our trip with a short hike through a tropical rain forest where our guide will point out the numerous species of vegetation and animals encountered in their natural habitat. Sometimes it is possible to see different species of animals such as white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, agoutis, a variety of snakes, and great diversity of birds as well as a large variety of plants species such as orchids and trees.

Some of the trees found here have a great grouser and height, and some of them may reach up to 55 meters (180 feet) in height. All the platforms have been designed for the observation of life on the treetops and from here you will enjoy spectacular views of the forest and the interaction of plants, birds and insects. Because your safety is our number one priority, we use only the finest gear available for mountain climbing, which is safe and simple to use.
