Mesón Panza Verde was
established in 1986 as one of the first European style bed and
breakfasts in Antigua, Guatemala. Ideally located at the quiet end of
famous Fifth Avenue, it is a pleasant four block walk from Antigua's
main Plaza and Cathedral down a cobble stone street past wonderful
ruins and several delightful shops.

At the main hotel there is a rooftop rose garden, this beautiful space also contains
a tower top jacuzzi with spectacular 360 degree views of Antigua, many ruins and the three volcanoes
There is an inviting central garden and fountain surrounded by a veranda that is "quintessential" Antigua.
In addition to the large beautiful decorated suites, an inviting lap pool is fed by a fountain.
The library bar has a large medieval fireplace and a small stage showcasing a baby grand piano. |

| Accommodations:
We offer 9 suites and three
double rooms. Each of our rooms has its own personality and is
decorated with Spanish Colonial antiques, hand made textiles and
weaving and original art. Several have turn of the century chandeliers
that were found in Cuba. Amenities include beautiful fireplaces, cozy
bathrobes, fresh flowers and in-room fine dinning.

The Grande Suite /Apt
(Suite12)
is the largest of all the suites. Through unusual floor to ceiling
glass and wrought iron windows, it has a spectacular view of the Volcan
Agua. In the living room there is a large corner fireplace. Beautiful
turn of the century chandeliers light the main living room. One enters
the bedroom through antique mahogany doors. Two sleeping niches contain
queen size beds and a large oval window faces the Volcan Agua. The
bathroom has a raised Jacuzzi beneath a cupola ceiling and is decorated
with marble tiles |

Suites 10 and 11
have Spanish balconies facing a wall of bougainvillea and overlooking
the garden below. They have a Spanish Colonial fireplace and a large
bathroom. Suite 11 has 2 twin beds and Suite 10 can have a king bed or
2 twin beds. |

Suites 8 and 9
are located on the ground floor. They have 12 foot ceilings, whimsical,
Moroccan Influenced fire places and a specially designed wall of glass
and wrought iron. French doors opens into a lush private garden with a
lion head fountain and a hammock for outdoor lounging and reading.
Suite 9 has a choice of king or twin beds. The bathroom is beautifully
appointed and features a large Jacuzzi. Suite 8 has a king size bed,
the bathroom has a bathtub and shower that sits on a platform behind
two ancient painted wood columns.

entrance, up a flight of stone stairs is Suite 7; it has French doors
that opens into a large private patio, the room has a king size bed
placed in a large sleeping alcove, an unusual corner fire place and a
large bathroom with Jacuzzi |

Suites 5 and 6
have a private patio with volcano view and they also have oversized
hammock and a private dinning area. Suite 6 has a queen bed, a colonial
style desk, an antique sofa and a large fireplace at one end of this
spacious room. The large bathroom contains an antique porcelain and
wrought iron sink. Suite 5 has a queen size bed placed directly in
front of the large fireplace and an antique corner desk. |
| Suite 4
is on the ground level. It has an entry living room with a Colonial
style desk, and a comfortable sofa in front of a large fire place. It
has its private patio with a fountain surrounded by orchids, ferns and
bamboo. The separate bedroom has two queen size beds and a large
bath/dressing room with shower. |

Our double rooms opens into a flagstone patio, each room has a French bed with
distinctive wrought
iron headboard, writing desk, bench and a small fireplace. Rooms 1 and
3 have queen size beds, room 2 has two single beds. Each double room has a private bath with shower. |

Our restaurant is considered one of the finest in the country. Its reputation
of "international cuisine with a twist" has made it a favorite with Guatemalans and international travelers
alike, well
known for its fine cuisine and romantic ambiance. Take your choice of
dining al fresco on the veranda surrounding the garden and fountain, or
inside our elegant restaurant. |

There is also on the second level a Cafe Terraza with spectacular
view of the surrounding three volcanoes.
You can also spend your
nights in the new Panza Verde Cueva where Thursdays and Fridays we have live music either Latin Jazz or
classical piano. |
| Spanish hand caved doors introduce you
to Panza Verde Gallery where local and international artists exhibit
their paints periodically under this beamed ceiling.
We offer also a conference center and a
relaxing pool for our guests.
