Day 1 - This journey will begin with the traverse by ferry boat to the volcanic island of Ometepe. During our safari/transfer, we’ll be up close not only to the scenery, but also the day-to-day activities of the island’s inhabitants. Among the highlights of the day is a BBQ picnic served on the Island’s best fresh-water beach. In the afternoon we can enjoy the charms of this place and the refreshing waters of Lake Nicaragua. Accommodation at Playa Santo Domingo / Hotel Villa Paraiso.
Day 2 - After breakfast, we’ll start to the town of Alta Gracia, visiting the little church and museum. Then we will return to the colonial capital Granada. We will enjoy a walking tour of Granada with its monuments and colorful life. Dinner and accommodation at the Alhambra Hotel. Day 3 - On the way to today’s destination, Masaya, we’ll pass by the village of Catarina to enjoy the remarkable view of the Apoyo Lagoon from its lookout point. In Masaya, the colorful market invites you to bargain for handmade crafts, and we assure you that you’ll be astounded by the views at the Masaya volcano with its endangered ‘Chocoyo’ parrots. Before driving back to our hotel, we will discover by boat the charming "Isletas" of Granada. Dinner in the city and accommodation at Hotel Alhambra. Day 4 - During the morning, we’ll tour the old and new sites of Nicaragua’s capital, Managua. Then we set off to Nicaragua’s premier beach resort, the Barcelo Montelimar, where the weather is always agreeable, the surf soothes, and their ‘all-inclusive’ system includes food, drinks, water-toys, entertainment, and luxury bungalow accommodations. Day 5 - Transfer to next booked destination. |
